What is your guild and raid history and what is the reason for leaving said guilds?

I starter playing Legion in early January, just as Nighthold was being released. Eventually I managed to get to 8/10 Mythic with Spinning Coin (Sylvanas). Shortly after many of the raiders quit raiding or the game in general, and some of us who wanted to keep raiding and get Cutting Edge joined Dies Irae and after a couple weeks we managed to get CE. I've had many fun raid nights with the guild during ToS progression and we've had many set backs as well. However, recently I've been noticing more and more that many people had lost their drive to succeed and weren't putting in even half the effort me and several other raiders were. The guild has since disbanded and I felt this is an opportune moment for me to look for a group of more like-minded players.

I've been raiding since TBC with a couple breaks throughout the years and even though it's not of much relevance, I'll list my raid experience from previous expansions:

WoD: I played casually on and off during WoD, only doing a few raids with pug groups and friends.

HFC - 3/13 M
BRF - cleared HC
Highmaul - cleared HC

MoP: I skipped MoP entirely

Cataclysm: I cleared BoT and BWD on heroic on my horde mage on Emeriss (Nikotina, my then-main) and stopped raiding shortly before Firelands

Naxx 25 - cleared
Ulduar 25 - cleared
ToC 25 - cleared
ICC 10 heroic - cleared

I've done some raiding back in TBC as well but nothing noteworthy

Do you have any pertinent alts that could be of use? If so, what is your raiding experience with your alts?

I've got a decently geared MM hunter on Sylvanas and can transfer it if needed. I've done ToS HC and a few bosses on Mythic.

Why do you want to join Pure and what goals do you have?

I'm looking for a community of individuals who are serious about progression but also remember to enjoy the journey along the way. Efficiency is also something I value highly and you guys seem to have cultivated a tight and social environment of capable players who possess the drive and technical ability to achieve efficient progression. I've always had a genuine interest in my class and a drive to improve, and finding a group of raiders with similar attitudes is one of my top priorities. Furthermore, since my previous mage colleague left me and went to play on NA, I'm in search for another (un)lucky magus to theorycraft, complain about Frost/Fire rng, make fun of fellow raiders mid-raid, and spam the dankest of memes with, all in our secret mage-only chat channel. That Helmsley dude must be so lonely all by himself.

What do you think you can bring to Pure and what do you expect of us as a guild?

Above all, you can expect commitment and performance. A fairly recent, minor feat I'm kind of happy about is the fact that even though I have 173 total wipes on Maiden mythic, I've never caused a raid wipe or screwed up a mechanic(except getting a couple of bombs, which I've Ice Blocked). As I already mentioned, I value efficiency. Therefore, whilst I'm very tolerant towards other raid members making mistakes, I'm very critical of myself and halting progress because I'm consistently failing a mechanic is not something I allow. I do make mistakes, much like everyone else, however I try to minimise those by learning and adapting quickly, and through thorough preparation - log reviews of high parses, fatboss guides, boss kills with mage PoV etc. Executing tactics and assisting the raid comes first, however I'm always striving to simultaneously maximise my damage output on relevant targets. I utilise a variety of online tools and resources to stay on top of any developments about my class. Moreover, I am a mage with many prestigious titles - in my guild I was the Portal Prodigy, Conjurer Supreme, Gem Purveyor, Supplier of enchants and Provider of feasts, although maybe I shouldn't mention this.
From the guild I expect an actual community of like-minded players, rather than a group of a couple dozen raiders who happen to be good at the game. I'm well aware things tend to get tense on occasion but I expect an overall calm environment that allows us to enjoy soaking, ugh, I mean raiding.

How did you hear of Pure?

Found you on wowprogress

Do you know anyone in Pure that can vouch for you?

No, but I had a lengthy, 15-second discussion with Silver on my lvl 1 character, so maybe he's already impressed with me.

Additional notes:

I realise my current 7/9 M progress is miles away from what you guys have achieved this tier. Nevertheless, I'm hoping I'll be given the chance to prove myself in a proper raid environment. While I main Frost, I'm fully capable of playing Fire, as evidenced by my logs. I'd also like to elaborate on a few of my logs that at first glance may seem questionable in terms of talent choice or performance.

Demonic Inquisition:

Me and my fellow mage colleague decided to just have a bit of fun on our first reclear raid in several weeks, hence the Pyrotex gloves (even though we werent cheesing by stacking add spawns)

I've run flame patch on my previous kills, as we've had some issues with adds towards the end of the fight before.

Mistress Sasy:

Our few kills on mistress were all quite messy which is why the logs look even worse than they should. That said, me and my fellow mage colleague went through many combinations of gear/legendaries/talents/specs between us during progress to find a set up that worked best for our raid team. I ran with higher mastery for more passive ignite cleave on the adds, but held back on going all out since we had other people aoeing as well (and we were simply overgearing the fight at one point). I deliberately held combustion on multiple occasions to avoid pushing the adds too early and, for the majority of the pulls, only got the bufferfish once, on pull, and only for about 10 seconds. Even though I didn't use flamestrike at all throughout the fight, I was deliberately running flame patch to deal with the fist or second add pack in phase 3, as we were consistently having issues with bursting them down in time.

Unusually low dps here, since I was holding my second time warp for a shield phase that never happened, as for the first time, everyone was alive for a change.

Edit: Forgot to mention I already have over 200 wipes on Avatar, for what they're worth.

Hi Nsain,

Thanks for your application, I'm afraid we won't be able to offer you a trial. Best of luck in the future,
